Direct messaging in Twitter.

For those of you who use Twitter, and there are a lot of you now, you can direct message easily by  doing the following:

d akislot Hello, this is a direct message.

See the d? Just put a "d" at the front and the nick of the person you are direct messaging. Don’t put an @ symbol in front of the name, that is only used in a public message. You can also set it up so it goes through as an SMS. So hmmm… does this mean free SMS? I think Twitter does only allow 250 SMS notifications a month though.
