So we are now home… after ten days, 4 plane trips, 2 funicular rides, 2 transport bridge rides, 2 gondola rides, multiple cabs, busses, subways and 1 row boat.
Our flight was a long 7+ hours from Frankfurt after our two hour flight from Barcelona. Good thing we had our own entertainment (iPhones) to keep us company. The entertainment system on Air Canada SUCKS. They had to reboot it twice before we got going and they couldn’t use it for the safety demonstration. Then about an hour into the flight so many people’s screens were freezing that they had to reboot again. I was halfway through Indiana Jones. (Thankfully cause the movie sucked).
Then after they reboot they told us DO NOT try to play games, watch the news, the interactive maps, or fast forward anything because it will crash the system. It is really awful that they can’t put in a system that is reliable, British Airways didn’t have this problem and that was two years ago that I flew with them.
So luckily we had our own viewing entertainment, sleeping was out of the question because the loud German woman kept on pushing on her screen and adjusting herself using the back of my seat. Very obnoxious.
Oh well, good to be home, it was a busy vacation and we saw a lot. I liked every part of it for its own reasons and ended up liking Spain a lot more than I thought I would. And I’m very glad we went to Bilbao, I think we were both surprised at how much we liked it.
So goodbye Europe until May. Whirlwind 12 day tour aboard the Princess cruise line with Gavin and Alen.
