Yesterday we finished off our tour of Lisbon. We hopped on the bus after Sintra to do the Blue tour. We were a little disappointed at first as the tour went through an industrial zone that was far from exciting but then we happened upon the new convention area. It was modern, beautiful and had some fantastic looking architecture including an aquarium, huge convention centre, some really neat condos and train station, all on the water.
Last night we found a Brazilian restaurant that turned out to be really delicious. I won’t go into detail since I don’t know the name of what we ate, I just know that it tasted great. A bunch of stews and some really sweet dessert.
Lisbon has been fantastic. It is a beautiful, clean city. The people seem to be very friendly. I think there is still a lot to explore in Lisbon and the surrounding areas.
All of our allergies are going crazy. I constantly have water eyes and so does Brad and Gavin. I think it was a little shock to our bodies to come from Toronto to a city where Spring is already in full force. Lisbon is lush and the trees are full of leaves.
Today we have a couple more hours, the other are shopping and I’m putzing around doing some work of my own, and at 1pm we set off to the cruise ship port. We have met a few people who are on the cruise, most of them middle aged or older so it will be interesting to see the people who will be sharing the boat with us.
Hopefully I will be able to get a couple of posts in. We will buy wi-fi on the boat, just because, well we can’t live without it! Plus we are going to turn our room into a mini wireless network ourselves. Next stop… Seville, Spain.
