Touring the South of France

Even though we were at port in Marseille, we didn’t really get to see the city. We promptly got onto a tour bus with a great French tour guide with an accent that slightly resembled that of Celine Dion. Everything ended in -a. You like-a? You want some French Fries-a? I loved it. Very cute.

Anyway, we hopped on a bus and headed to a town called Aix-En-Provence. A beautiful town that has a great mix of modern and old. The streets were lined with Sycamore trees and pastry shops. As the boys went to shop I wandered around and toured the beautiful back streets trying to snap as many pictures as possible. There were markets set up in the squares selling fresh produce and local strawberries which were supposed to be very tasty.

After a couple hours of touring and one of the best Croc Monsieur sandwiches I have ever eaten we hopped back on the bus with our little Celine and headed to Lourmarin. Now this town was scenic.

The town only has about 1200 people and is nestled in the hills of Provence. I walked around the streets taking the small town in. There were beautiful curvy streets, little tunnels and random beautiful flowers growing around the town.
