Delicious Dinner at The Orchard House
2011-11-06
Last night we were targeting a party in the Lower East Side so we needed somewhere to eat! After meeting Jasper and Craig at the hotel I found a restaurant near the party on OpenTable called APL... now renamed The Orchard House.
The restaurant itself is pretty nice inside. Kind of trendy and comfortable. We found out that when we showed up that the restaurant had changed their name recently and they weren't very busy. It was kind of nice though, we were able to chat and catch up. Apparently they took on a new manager and some changes were being made, but the food was still delicious.
For the table we started with deep fried pickles. Little slices of pickles with a creamy dill dip.
The appetizers at the table were all delicious. From crispy scallops, tuna tartare, to my grilled chicken wings.
The mains were also pretty good. I had veal, scallopini style that was the perfect amount... not too much and wasn't too heavy. Brad had a half roasted chicken with buttermilk mashed potatoes.
Overall a great dinner... and a good find on OpenTable.
P.S. These pictures didn't turn out too good.
