Australia - Here we come!

First of all, today was an awesome day filled with family, fun, and good food. Dinner was amazing tonight, all the food was delicious and was probably the best dinner my mom has served us at Christmas thus far. But now that Christmas has flown by, we are now readying ourselves for our 15 hour 35 minute flight to Syndey, Australia.

This whole trip started with a link I came across many many years ago that boasted about the fireworks show in the Sydney harbor on New Years. I decided that it was something that I had to experience sometime in my life. With Brad approaching his fifteenth year at his company, he was entitled to 3 extra weeks of vacation... So this was the year. Australia is a long way to go and we would hate to have blown all his vacation on one trip...

Last year in January we managed to score the near impossible Business class rewards tickets on the Vancouver (YVR) to Sydney (SYD) Air Canada flight. So here we are today. Minutes from flying 7,763 miles across the Pacific to the homeland of Crocodile Dundee. We will be visiting the following cities:

Sydney
Cairns
Uluru (Ayers Rock)
Melbourne
Great Ocean Road
Adelaide
Wellington, New Zealand
Auckland, New Zaaland
Home via Sydney then Vancouver

So even though the trip seems like a lot, I know the 25 day trip will fly by. Right now, I'm enjoying my G&T in the lounge with the excitment growing.

PS. I'm totally rockin' the jogging pants... I'm going to be so comfortable!
