P90X - 90 days of...

2011-09-22

30 days of hell some call it. Strangely, I think will grow to love it. As Tony says: I hate it, but I love it.

Surfing on the Oasis of the SeasWhenever I see my shirt off I vow to buckle down and start getting into shape. The problem isn't that I'm a lazy ass (swim club, volleyball, gym, running through airports) but I also like to eat. Eating is my weakness, I like good food and lots of it.

So finally Brad and I have committed to P90X. A 90 day intense work out and eating regime that should hopefully create results. I'm not aiming to have six pack abs, but I do want to feel better in my clothes and be healthier overall. The fact that Brad is doing it makes eating at home a lot easier and we can motivate each other.

It isn't going to be easy. With travel sprinkled through the next 90 days I will have to resist temptation for a great hot dog or that beer. But I will prevail! Just think of all the money we'll save not eating out, instead it will be spent on protein powder and vegetables. Great.

So keep in mind, if you want to lunch with me, I'm not eating Mac & Cheese. And if you want to go for dinner, I won't be drinking. Will this make me boring? I don't think so... but next three months will make me a less desirable target for hungry Australian sharks in 3 months.

If you have done P90X I would love to hear any tips... especially food related. Staying creative and interesting will be the hardest part.
